FOOTBALL STUDS

Here is Chase at football practice in Florida!

Ryan just ended his football season and is getting ready for Soccer to start! Such a studly little dude dontcha think?
I made the team treats for the last game. Popcorn balls with football treat topper bags! They were a hit!
Joel actually decided...all on his own...to skip the football season this year in favor of his studies! Go Joely Go!
CONFERENCE WEEKEND
We had such a lovely Conference Weekend. On Saturday Joel was invited to watch conference with a bunch of other youth in our stake. They had pizza between sessions and played Guitar Hero in the afternoon.
Joel's almost girlfriend, Miss Hillary, takes her Guitar Hero playing very seriously and likes to dress the part. She made Joel dress up too!

On Sunday we had a potluck at our house between sessions. Usually I take a picture of the pretty spread of food before we eat but I forgot! It was super good! We had ham, egg, and cheese casserole, fruit salad, rolls and biscuits, crab salad, monkey bread, and orange juice!
It must have been good because this was all that was left:
Misty and Sandra visiting with each other
Our neighbor Hal and Mr. Wresh chatting it up
Just a few of the kiddos in attendance
DAD CLEANED THE TOYROOM!
I had to get few shots of the toy room while it was actually organized! Mr. Wresh cleaned up the toy room and it looked great...at least for a few hours!
MY NEW PURSE!
So ya'll know my wallet died a few weeks back...I finally got a new one! I actually ordered it from Etsy and had a purse made to match! I la-la-love it!
HALLOWEEN CRAFTS PART ONE - SOCK PUMPKINS!
We made a few Halloween Crafts last week! The first one was little jack-o-lanterns made from old socks...check it out baby...
Materials:
Old Sock
Small Rubber Band
Orange and Green Paint
Sharpie Marker
Cut your sock in half below the toe.
Stuff the top part into the toe part of the sock.
Secure it with a little elastic band.
You should have something that looks like this now.
Get your paints together and find a clean place to work.
Paint the bottoms of your pumpkins orange and the tops green.
Wash the paint off your hands and wait for your pumpkins to dry!
Once your pumpkin is dry have your mama draw a little jack-o-lantern face on your pumpkin with a black sharpie marker.
You are one crafty kid!
HALLOWEEN CRAFTS PART TWO - CHEESE CLOTH GHOST!
This little craft was easy, if not messy. I found the idea from a link on Today's Creative Blog.
Materials:
Cheese Cloth
Balloon
White Glue
Water
Black Felt
Cut a length of cheese cloth big enough to cover a blown up balloon.
You can get an idea of how much to cut by doing something like this!
Tape your balloon to a clean surface. I taped down wax paper on top of my counters for easy clean up!
Mix 1 part white glue to 1 part water. Make about one cup of the mixture.
Dip the cheese cloth in the mixture making sure all the material is soaked in it.
Lay the cheese cloth over the balloon and shape the draped edges the way you want them. Let this dry over night and then pop the balloon and carefully remove it from inside the cheese cloth form.
Now decorate it with cut out pieces of felt for a mouth and eyes! Very Spooky!!!
WHITE TRASH CHICKEN CASSEROLE
I was a little short on time and needed to make dinner fast. We had some left over fried chicken from dinner the night before and I remembered a trashy...yet tasty casserole I had made awhile back...it would make Martha Stewart shudder...
Ingredients:
boneless cooked chicken meat cut up in chunks
6-8 pieces of processed cheese (you know those little squares)
bag of hash browns
1/2 cup of milk
can of cream of chicken soup
can of fried onions (the ones you put on the green bean casserole at Thanksgiving)
Get your ingredients ready!
Spray the bottom of a casserole dish with Pam and then mix 1/2 the can of fried onions with the bag of has browns and spread it all over the bottom of the dish.
Cover the hash browns and fried onions with the slices of processed cheese.
Cover the cheese layer with the chunks of chicken.
Mix the can of soup with the milk and pour it over the chicken. Top the casserole with the remaining friend onions. I used the store brand can of fried onions and it was not as good as when I use the French's name brand ones so use those!
Now bake the casserole at 350 for 30-40 minutes. I know this sounds super trashy...I am a little embarrassed to tell you the recipe for it honestly...but it is quick and easy and if my picky eaters will eat it, yours will too!
FOUNDERS DAY
Our town is so small (although growing quickly) that it was only incorporated 5 years ago! Here are a few pictures from our cities Founders Day Celebration!
Getting a seat close up to hear the bands play!
Daddy and Ryan chillin like villains.
Mama and Matty.
Ryan taking pictures of Mama and Matthew...it was sooo sunny out!
Daddy and Matthew.
Sometimes the music was a little too loud for the Wreshlings!
Joel went off with Miss Hillary and their friends most of the day but caught up with us for the concert!
Our friends the McCrae's were there too! Val and I were tent mom's together at Girls Camp and I la-la-love her! She is a freaking riot!!!
THIS WEEKEND
Tonight we head to McDonald's for dinner because Ryan got 100% on his tests this week and that is the deal.
Tomorrow is Super Saturday at church so I will be crafting my face off.
Sunday after church we are going to visit my Grandma at the rehab. She broke her hip last weekend and now has to be in an inpatient rehab for several weeks. Poor Granny...
Later Skaters...

I always love reading your blog. This one was filled with so much good info. I will have to make your casserole recipe. I am sure my hubby will love it.
I am sad I missed the potluck. It looked like a lot of fun...
Wow, so much going on in your lifes, I don't know where to start...
I love the craft tips, the ghost is way cool. Loved seeing you all in your family t-shirts again. But the best photo is of Joel and his girl in the glam-rock getup. Now that is a photo you will be laughing at in years to come - priceless. And your purse with matching wallet is so fun, I love it. Have a great weekend :-)
That White Trash Chicken Casserole looks delish!
I must say that all your boys are way too cute, but if you don't mind...that Ryan is a DOLL! I have 2 boys and at different times they each had that look. I love the updates on the Wresh Family! Have a wonderful weekend :)
Kim, I used one of your templates to scrap my baby's 1-year-old pictures. If you want to see it, it's on my blog: http://vanbeekum.blogspot.com/2008/10/my-latest-layout.html
